FAQs

Well, my name is Avery (they/she), and I live in Logan Square, Chicago. I find it hard to accurately represent my strengths “on paper,” but this website is my best attempt. I’ve been a graphic designer across varying industries for more than 8 years. Outside of work, I enjoy watching sports and horror movies, bowling, live music, my cats, and good food.

I currently find myself looking for a role at a company that is a better cultural fit for me, and specifically one that celebrates diversity rather than tolerating or resisting it.

Because I will always figure it out.
I’m a great designer who has the ability to take on almost anything asked of me. Ever since I designed my first wedding program as a sophomore in college, I’ve been teaching myself new skills, adapting to new environments, and exploring new worlds. I take pride in the relationships I build at work and in making my teams better. Give me the chance to prove myself, and I promise you won’t regret it… no one ever has.
There’s a lot to learn about me. I’m a highly logical person in a highly creative career, and I use that to my advantage really well. I’ve also done a lot of random things in my life. If this piques your interest, click here to learn more.
Some of My Best Work
77 West Wacker
I act as a Brand Designer and Art Director for several office buildings in Chicago, including 77 West Wacker. Projects range email communication and elevator screens to environmental graphics and welcome mats.
Presentation Design
This page highlights pages from presentations that I think well-represent my understanding of design best practices. Look for examples of hierarchy, font choice, color use, imagery, and more.
Variety: The Spice of Life
I’ve designed all kinds of stuff: annual reports and orientation guides in higher education, rebate flyers and product brochures in the building industry, B2B marketing and tour books in commercial real estate, etc., etc.
